About Our Holiday Cottage

4 Elder Cottages is on a quiet road in the village of Thornham,  within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural beauty.   The house overlooks a large meadow near the saltmarshes which surround the old harbour and estuary.  The RSPB bird reserve at Titchwell and the Holme Wildlife reserve,   both next to beautiful sandy beaches,  are a short walk away.  Thornham has a deli/cafe, a farm shop and three pubs which all serve good food.

The cottage was renovated in 2008, and now combines its original character with comforts including underfloor heating, a woodburning stove,  and a kitchen with modern appliances.  It has two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs,  and a living room,  kitchen and separate dining area downstairs.  The house sleeps four people, with a sofa bed in the living room for occasional guests.  There is a garden with a seating area and parking for at least two cars.
